William Lawrence "Buddy" Gaines
joined the Company, originally known as Gaines & Co. in 1970. Several
years later, in 1974 John Taylor Gaines also joined the Company.
Gaines & Co. sold natural gas regulators, flow meters,
valves, combustion systems, and rupture discs.
During the late 70's and early 80's the
company's focus changed to emphasize process measurement and
control . As a result, the name was changed to Gaines Measurement
and Control Inc. and the company was incorporated in 1986.
Today, Gaines Measurement
and Control Inc. is a significant instrumentation source in Alabama, NW Florida
and Southern Mississippi. Product offerings include flow, level pressure and
control equipment.
